In the last two weeks we have reminisced almost daily about our wedding, and every single time the conversation comes back to Lisa, Holly, and the rest of the Sablewood team for just how incredible you all made our big day. From the first time we visited to the time our final bus left, you never stopped working to ensure every moment of the wedding went off without a hitch, even when last minute rain changes were necessary! We cannot express enough how grateful we are to you. The venue looked amazing, your coordination was flawless, and no ask was too big. We truly admire how hard you work to make sure all your guests have a memorable experience. Thank you sincerely, for everything you did, we could not have had a better time.

Words can’t express how grateful Marc & I are for everything you and your team did for us on our wedding day. I am so lucky to have had the most stunning venue & beyond amazing team. The Sablewood is by far the most magical venue I have ever been to, and I am so lucky I had the pleasure of being married there. The property is straight out of a fairytale, with the most beautiful restored barn (epic chandelier), immaculate landscaping providing endless photo ops, multiple ceremony locations, fire pit, I could go on and on but you just need to see it. Lisa and her team are PROs when it comes to making the day go smoothly. Somehow, they seemed to have everything we left behind or just lost the day of (table numbers, twinkle lights, etc.) and helped make the day a total dream for my husband and I. Her sister drove us around the property to get all the photos we wanted (talk about amazing service), and just made sure we were able to enjoy every single minute. This team is beyond efficient & professional, having all our decor packed up neatly and ready to go for us the next morning. But more than anything they are a pleasure to be around & we are so lucky to have worked with them!!! Wish we could do it all over again!

It’s hard to put into words how incredibly beautiful this venue is!! The views alone are breathtaking but the inside of the barn is pure magic! When my then fiancé and I visited for the first time, we knew immediately that we wanted to have our wedding there. Everything looked perfect and so well thought out. The owners are the sweetest people. Lisa and her sister Holly were a pleasure to work with! Very genuine and down to earth family who care so much about making your wedding day and experience happy and effortless! I seriously can’t say enough good things about them! Our wedding day went so smoothly. The beautiful bridal suite was so fun to get ready in! Lisa helped coordinate our ceremony and ensured everyone knew when to walk and where to stand. Her and Holly then joined us with our photographer and videographer throughout all of our photos, they drove us around the property for all the great photo ops, were there to help fix/fluff my dress and veil, to hold my flowers and hand them back to me when needed, and just overall very attentive. It was just so nice to not have to worry about anything at all! All of our guests also fell in love with the entire property and were complimenting on it throughout the wedding! My husband and I are so happy we chose The Sablewood and we highly recommend it to all couples seeking their dream wedding venue!!!

I knew from my very first phone call with Lisa that I was going to love The Sablewood! Lisa is so warm and welcoming. She showed a true interest in me and Chris as a couple and wanted to get to know our story. When we visited The Sablewood for a tour, we fell in love. Lisa and her team have created such a beautiful, romantic space for weddings. Every detail (like quite literally, every detail – wait until you see the bridal suite) was given so much thought and attention. No matter where you look, you see beauty. We booked a date in October 2020 and Lisa shared a list of recommended vendors with us. Through that list we also found the most amazing florist, photographer and DJ! Once COVID hit, Lisa reached out and encouraged us to book a back-up date. We were hesitant to do so, and stubborn at the thought of moving our wedding. But we are SO glad that she encouraged us to do that early on. We reserved a date in May 2021 that lined up with ALL of our other vendors. So, the day was set to be the same… thankfully! Lisa’s communication throughout the entire wedding planning process was wonderful. In the days leading up to the wedding, Lisa was present and helpful in ways that I never thought imaginable! The forecast was showing 100% chance of rain, but Lisa worked together with our photographer to adjust the schedule a bit so that Chris and I could still do a first look outside. We did have a rain plan inside the barn and I fully trusted Lisa and her team to make it perfect and man, did they deliver. Lisa helped move things along during our rehearsal and on our wedding day, Lisa was right there adjusting my train for every pose and picture — she is amazing. The venue is amazing. If you are looking for a rustic, yet beautifully elegant venue to have your wedding, this is it. If not just for the beautiful barn and location, for the chance to work with someone as amazing as Lisa. I’m telling you; it made the entire process SO much more enjoyable.

I am having a hard time putting my gratitude into words. Lisa, Holly and the fabulous people at The Sablewood made our wedding day an absolute dream! We cannot thank you all enough! Lisa is wonderful!! The Sablewood is absolutely perfect. Everything you need is there. They have really thought of it all. I knew the second I pulled up to the property that this was where I wanted to get married. Our wedding was the wedding of our dreams and you played a huge role in that! Aside from the barn, grounds, and bridal suite being perfect, Michael & I felt so loved & well taken care of. Thank you for making this journey so magical for us. We are forever grateful!

From the moment we first stepped on the property, my wife and I knew this was the place we were going to be married. We couldn’t have had a more spectacular day. We had our ceremony outside in the circle behind the barn and it was beautiful. Inside was even more stunning. There aren’t enough words to describe how great this place really is and how beautiful not only the barn, but the property is. Lisa and her staff were wonderful on the day of our wedding and took care of everything! From setting up decorations to dealing with the vendors, to helping guide our guests where they needed to go. Whatever we needed, they helped with. They were 1st class! If you are looking for an intimate place to have a wedding with beautiful views for your photos, this is the place for you!

The Sablewood was a freaking DREAM come true for our wedding day. We had to change our venue last minute and Lisa was a star and so supportive and helpful to us. Let me tell you, we are beyond happy we ended up having to change to this venue because I would pick the Sablewood every time. It’s insanely gorgeous — our guests said it was the most beautiful venue they’ve ever been to. Every detail was perfect on our day, I would not change one thing. The bridal suite is AMAZING, truly. It was so convenient to have the bridal suite and groom’s suite next to each other for our videographer and photographer, and the photos I have of getting ready in that bridal suite are incredible. The entire property is so beautiful — I can’t rave enough about it and how our photos look from the day. Lisa’s dad made pretty much everything in the barn and bridal suite, and everything is so unique and just so gorgeous. Lisa and her entire family are the nicest people. Lisa, you made my stress go away as soon as we decided on your venue. The day of, I can’t thank you enough for everything you did for us, it was magical and smooth sailing. I really wasn’t stressed at all and I have you to thank for that. This venue is EVERYTHING. Seriously. Beyond Pinterest-worthy, it is a magical place and I had the best day of my entire life there. THANK YOU!

In the simplest of terms, the farm and surrounding property are magnificent. Set on a bucolic piece of land with picturesque views from every angle and undulating hills, the venue makes for a truly beautiful and unique setting at any time of the year. Great care is taken to maintain the natural beauty of the farm that once acted as a stable for Morgan horses. The barn has undergone incredible and meticulous reconstruction making it a showstopper of a site. Lisa was a tremendous help in offering flexibility; it felt like we had her full support and creative rights for the day. Similar settings in the Boston area where we lived at the time were not affordable and too restrictive. This location offered a respite from the buzz of the city for our out-of-town guests at an affordable rate for us. All in all, we had a fabulous experience from the very beginning of planning until the last guest left. The only problem was, we didn’t want the night to end!

From day 1, Lisa was nothing short of amazing. She immediately gave us list upon list of local caterers, florists, photographers, videographers and a myriad of other services to make our wedding extravaganza as perfect as it can be. We received the utmost care up to the event and even during — the Sablewood staff was attentive and responsive. They were extremely accommodating to last minute changes. We highly recommend this venue for your wedding destination in upstate New York.
